In our group we have changed some of the official WFRP rules. Listed here are the rules and background stuff we have changed:

Melee weapons qualities and Damage

Critical Hit

If a character rolls a WS or BS test which is passed by 3 degrees or more then the possibility of Ulric's Fury with be present on a roll of 9 or 10 on the damage die.

Furthermore if a character tries to dodge or parry a WS test which is passed by 3 degrees or moret he gets a -10% penalty to the dodge/parry test.

Dodge Blow

Dodge Blow (1 rank): The character can dodge one melee attack if a succesful agility test is made.
Dodge Blow (2 ranks): The character can dodge two attacks i one round, but only if the two attacks come from the same creature. The character gets 10% bonus to the first test.
Dodge Blow (3 ranks): The character can dodge three attacks i one round, but only if the three attacks come from the same creature. The character gets 20% bonus to the first test and 10% bonus to the second attack.

Weapon Skills

In our WFRP group we have decided that a character can specialize in weapons. All characters starts with the talent called "Specialist Weapon Group - Ordinay". All characters can fight with an ordinary weapon! If a character chooses to fight with a weapon he does not have the "specialist weapon group" to then his WS/BS characteristic is halved!

The character can choose to specialize further in a  weapon provided that he have the given "Specialist Weapon Group" talent.

If he spends 100 xp in a ordinary hand weapon
(e.g. a sword) then he gets a bonus of 5% to his WS characteristic when he fights with this weapon.

If he spends 100 xp extra in the same weapon skill (and if he is able to find a master in this weapon who will train him) he gets a total bonus of 10% when fighting with the weapon!

The Gods

The Gods in the Old World are reduced to saints. The only God is....God! The Saints are powerful beings who bestow magic to their followers. The saints in our Old World have pretty much the same powers and interests as in the "normal" Old World. For example is the god Morr in our game world Saint Peter (Morr) - a human who lived long ago who dedicated his life to fight undead. As a reward from God he became the guardian of the pearly gates and watcher of the dead souls.

The chaos gods are reduced to very, very powerful demons or fallen angels under the leadership of Satan.
